Fuelled by Karma. Steered by Dharma.
A note from the founder
I started 47 BH because I wanted a way to measure India's road to 2047 that any citizen could read, check and add to.
In 2047, India turns 100. I want that Bharat to be richer in per capita income and, more importantly, in character: where people work hard and build wealth, yet live by Karma, accountable for every action, and by Dharma, doing their duty towards their family, friends, society and all life on this earth.
The name comes from the BH number plate: Bharat, registered 2047. Karma fuels the journey and Dharma steers it, which is why the plate reads 47 BH 0100 KD.
47 BH is built on eight pillars and 47 sub-pillars, each tracked with cited data. On 20 October 2026, Dussehra, we published the first baseline report card of India. The first scored card follows on 15 August 2027, eighty years after independence.
This mission is independent and non-partisan. It does not back a party and it is not a government programme. It looks at the numbers, says where India is improving and where it is not, and asks what we should learn, avoid and protect along the way.
It is meant to be citizen-led. If you spot a wrong number, a better source or a gap we have missed, write to hello@47bh.org.
